Don Frosland

Strong Beginnings

Don Frosland’s journey is one of strength—both physical and spiritual. Born into a Christian home, Don was deeply influenced by his father, a godly man whose life demonstrated faith and resilience. In his late 30s, Don witnessed a transformative moment when his father, after recovering from a heart attack and undergoing a triple bypass, entered his first powerlifting meet at the age of 61. This remarkable milestone inspired Don to join his father on a powerlifting team, where they trained and competed together.

Legacy

For over a decade, from age 38 to 49, Don was an active competitor, setting several master records, including an incredible bench press PR of 529 pounds. His father competed until the age of 68, leaving a legacy of perseverance and strength. Though Don retired from competitive powerlifting at 59, his passion for fitness and community has only grown.

Don and Get Strong Sisters

Don continues to bring people together through his love of faith and fitness. He now leads a group of powerlifters ranging in age from their 60s to their 80s, showing that strength and resilience have no age limit. Under his leadership, this group has become a brotherhood, sharing both physical training and deep spiritual connection. One member has come to Christ through the program, while others, already believers, have found a deeper sense of community and purpose.

Don is deeply inspired by the unique blend of working out and studying God’s Word, which has brought immense transformation to those he mentors. He believes this combination has the power to cultivate not only stronger bodies but also stronger faith and relationships. Don’s story and leadership continue to inspire strength—in body, soul, and community.
